Insect Plant Automation – Protix

For Protix I have created an integral control system that coordinates production and links the various sub-systems.

The Control is build up with Beckhoff and VIPA hardware and includes visualization, control and database handling. The production is monitored by keeping track of all product with RFID tags and information gathered from feed computer, climate control and other sut-systems.

The Plant in Dongen is the first scale up of Protix and first automated insect farm so far.
