Software review for Solitaire PTC crane – Allseas

For Allseas I have reviewed and rewritten the control of the Solitaire deck crane, supporting their motion compensated pipe transfer system.

The crane was overhauled some years ago, fitting it with a new control system. The new software however didn’t match the Allseas standards and needed a review to enable Allseas to gain better insight in it’s workings.

The software was rewritten and tested against a field simulation with PLCSim and Python.
